Collecting the memories of a place and the people who live there.
The Institute for the Collection of Human Memories brings a citizen initiative together with a group of artists around collective and individual memories, and the untold stories of the people who live in a place.
Target audience: people living in the suburbs, whose stories often remain invisible.

A project that is both physical and digital.
The ground: people living in neighbourhoods across France.

Taking the capital letter off History, to read the stories.
A physical and digital device, designed as a living system. It calls on residents, their ties and the memories they lay over their territory: stories, photos, objects. It only exists through their participation.
Memories here are relative, subjective, open to change, far from the archive and dusty books. Impermanent, the device can be deployed on any territory.
