13 CLBI
A production company for independent film.
C’est la bagarre (ici) puts young talent from the African diaspora first: producers, artists, actors.
The brief: create a small character in the image of the company’s founder, then animate it.

Ketchup and red spray paint.
The lettering is done by hand: ketchup on paper, then spray-painted tags.
The name, “C’est la bagarre ici” (“it’s a fight here”), comes out of the character’s mouth as if he had just taken a punch. The approach: raw, deliberately gory lettering.

A character that walks, a logo that moves.
A hand-drawn character with its walk cycle, then the logo animated in 16:9 and 2.35.
Since the character is illustrated, the animation starts from the drawing itself, frame by frame, in the spirit of a small hand-made cartoon. A deliberately crafted feel, in line with the company’s independent spirit and its closeness to its audience.
